Details of my suggestion of a Sales Tax to the BBC Newsnight Politics Pen in Nov 2009 - which was agreed by both Lord Digby Jones and Matthew Taylor - can be watched via the BBC website at  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8354938.stm

Proposed Changes and Draft Policies

Although we have decided not to run for the 2010 General Election, we have made our Guiding Principles and Draft Policy Summaries available for review.

Click on http://sites.google.com/site/thirdchamber/ to see the site, which includes the text of our Guiding Principles and Government Restructure, a new Age, Civil & Criminal Responsibility Act and changes to the Tax System.

Although deceptively simple, these small changes will improve and encourage business, community spirit and peoples lives.

We believe that people have lost faith in the accountability of our elected MP’s, and some of our changes will bring openness, accountability and make them more responsible to us.

If you are standing as an MP for a seat in the upcoming General Election, feel free to use any of the suggestions to improve our daily lives – just let us know by leaving a comment on the site.
